The Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal, the symbol of love, was named after Mumtaz Mahal, the favorite wife of Emperor Shah Jahan. The beautiful structure was made by more than 20,000 workmen and took 17 years to complete. The building has many elements of Islamic design including arches, minarets, an onion-shaped dome, and black calligraphy inlaid around the entrance. Sunset is the best period of time to visit the Taj Mahal. An astonishing myth about the Taj Mahal is heard that the worker's hands were cut off so that no other architecture would be made once again.
